Jennifer moved to North Devon in 2020 from East Yorkshire and has always loved drawing and painting from a very early age. After having a break from Art whilst her children grew up, Jennifer then took up Art again, including painting backcloths and scenery for a theatrical society, and has been painting in different media over the last 40 years. She is mostly self-taught, developing her skills through art classes and workshops, working mostly in watercolour but also enjoying painting in acrylics, oil, pastel, and pen and ink. Since moving to Devon, the beautiful and dramatic coastline has inspired her to paint seascapes, mostly in Acrylics.
When living in East Yorkshire Jennifer was heavily involved in the organisation of the Holderness Art Show, which was held yearly, exhibiting regularly at this and other events. In 2018 Jennifer won the Peter Wood memorial Trophy for the best painting of ‘Whitby’ in Acrylics in the Holderness Art Show. Jennifer is a member of the Deep Lanes Art collective.
