Bee relocated in 2012, exchanging suburban London for the serenity of rural North Devon. Inspired by the natural beauty of her new surroundings, she took up painting and was hooked from the start.
Exploring various media led Bee to the art of printmaking and from there it was just a small step to the discovery of fabric printing, rekindling her love of textiles.
Bee now produces predominantly illustrative and stylised work in acrylic, relief printmaking and hand printed textiles, employing both traditional and digital art forms. She sews her unique textile prints into furnishings and personal accessories, proving that art is not solely for decorating walls!
With designs derived primarily from the natural world of flora and fauna, the overall mood of Bee’s art is contemporary, colourful and sometimes injected with an element of fun and a nod to local landmarks.
