Sue always loved painting as a child but it was not until she moved from the South East to rural North Devon some ten years ago that she found the inspiration and time to reconnect with her love of art. She joined the village art group and learnt a lot from some excellent tutors as well as her fellow artists.
Sue favours no one particular medium but loves them all and enjoys the different challenges they represent. She currently paints in watercolours, acrylics, oils, pastels, inks and mixed media. She also enjoys printmaking. Subjects are varied but she is especially drawn to details of the landscape, seascapes, flowers, birds and animals, and contemporary still life scenes.
Sue is also a photographer specialising in plant and flower imagery and she continues to practise photography alongside her art.
